My little friend Mr. C., the one child I can usually count on to take angelic, mommy-lovin' pictures, decided to have portraits made of his new marble. J. contributed some buttons to my collection and among other things (garter belt holdie thingys?) we found a marble.
This marble had a big weekend. First there was the portraiture.
That was yesterday, I guess. I can tell it is yesterday because in one picture Mr. C. is wearing a price tag on an elastic string from Pier One around his neck. I picked up my necklace at the jewelery store, and I guess C. needed one too?
And for once the camera focused.
The camera's just like us. We don't focus either. We decided to take our pictures with the camera, instead of whatever we were supposed to be doing, and our tripod was a family size Cheezit's box. Probably we were supposed to be cleaning or cooking or organizing.
We had some interesting light.
So I had to take some of us.
(With the marble, of course!)
This is us gazing at the marble. Well he is, and I'm eyeing the camera teetering on the Cheezit's box.
Okay now I'm getting in on the act, gazing at the marble. Adoringly. Because the Cheezit's box works great. Till someone shakes the table but I'm not going to waste time including that shot.
Here we are for our proper portrait, gazing serenely at the camera with the marble.
I told him to pose like that.
Then today the marble went to Chuck E. Cheese. Right now I think it is in the dryer. Because something's makin' some noise. Be right back.
No, just a case of too many zippers in the dryer. I may never see that marble again.
I would like to state for the record, whatever happened to the way photos show up in this editor, sucks the big one. I can never tell which photos will show up first. The photo order tells a story. Maybe the story line isn't important, but still. I have an idea of how the photos should go to tell this story, and Blogger is pissing me off because no matter what I try, the photos have a mind of their own now. According to the Blogger hype they appear at the insertion point. Okay so here goes, I removed all my photos and am now reinserting them at the insertion point. Fine.
Didn't work. The marble appeared at the beginning and I had to drag it down to where I wanted it. The left and right justification don't cooperate either so I'll leave that till last.
Okay now I'm somewhat satisfied with the photos. I guess that's all I have tonight. Oh also Auntie Win called and asked if we wanted to go to Chuckee Cheez instead of going over to her house because her dog was puking today. Whee. So we had a pizza, played about a million games, (not us, them) talked and hung out. Then we came to my house. Had a beer. What else. That's about it. I thought she'd have some great ideas for organizing but I think maybe I'm on my own for that.
