The weather? For some reason I guess it was slippery this morning so the school system called at 6 about the 2 hr. late start, which puts us back to 10:30. I still had Mr. C. and at some point he snuggled up in my bed, so we slept some more. Then he woke up, got dressed, and plundered his brother's room. "Mom! I Found This!" Miscellaneous wires, cords and game stuff are now scattered around the living room.
I can't find the red/yellow cord that connects the Nintendo Entertainment System (the original, Model No. NES-001 (C) 1985 Nintendo Patent Pending, accept no substitutes, with the cartridges you sometimes have to blow into to make them work... why did that work again?) It works kind of like a toaster, I've been peeking into the inside of the thing. You put the game cartridge in there and click it down. A few years ago this thing worked, sort of. Nevermind that it's over 20 years old.
I got up and "worked out" because that's what I'm calling 10 minutes on the non-electrical stairstepper thingy I got last winter. I wrote a 4-Day Win for myself, which states I will do 4 days of exercise. My daily reward is Facebook Time. Seriously. No Facebook till I work out. Ahem. "work out" - it's not a big workout. It's an alleged workout.
The idea, according to this book I'm reading, by Martha Beck, is you reward yourself each day for 4 days. Because of the rule that says 4 days is enough for somebody to think they "do" something. If you can do it for 4 days it is on the way to becoming a habit. I'm not sure what my big reward is if I do actually complete the whole 4 days.
Also for breakfast, I had a serving of cereal and milk. I do that in a coffee mug because my cereal bowls are huge. A serving is more a coffee mug than a gigantic cereal bowl. Mr. C made himself breakfast that consisted of roast beef sandwich slices, and he wanted chocolate milk. He didn't want cereal. Then he did want cereal. Then he wanted some cheese, because I said cheesse would go great with the roast beef. I also had time to make some green tea, very strong green tea, which I am still trying to drink. I had class at 10:30 as did Mr. C. ... J. came over to let C. drive himself to school. I don't want to know 100% what is involved with that. The joke is, one of them drives and the other one hangs out the window and spits. I know they're kidding. They are purposely messing with me. So I'm not going to get all freaked out. I jumped in the shower at 10:05 because I "worked out" from 9:45 till 9:55 and did breakfast for 10 min. The shower took longer than I thought and so I didn't dry my hair all the way. Brr. I was driving to class at 10:30. But I was in class by 10:35. Miraculous. Minutes take longer these days for some reason. It is now 12:05. It is now 12:10.
I got to class and we sat there. And talked a little while, and wondered if he was back from Chicago. Someone said he was supposed to get in last night. Then I realized, duh, he would have had to fly into Omaha, and the interstate between here and Omaha has been closed since yesterday morning. They had 20 cars flying all over the place and so they closed it to clean all that up. People were sleeping on cots at the school in Whiting! So no, we did not have class today so I came back home to finish drying my hairs.
And that's all. I'm cold. The snow is blowing but I don't think any new snow is falling. And I need to put some paint on a canvas soon, and stretch that big one so I am not in trouble on Thursday for getting nothing done while she was out of town. Yee haw.
