I have an interview. I am excited and nervous. I have spent all day perfecting a lesson on The Very Hungry Caterpillar which hopefully will be amazing. I sorted out the artwork in my giant ancient portfolio to include only things done by me which relate directly to expected outcomes, or things done by students as expected outcomes. This job is for elementary, and I don't have
a lot of any elementary student work. I do have lots of secondary student work. But I do have lots of elementary work I did showing an expected outcome. A few of them really are quite beautiful so that should be fun. Also I just realized I do not have a sample collage for the project that relates to the lesson plan I'm going to present. Ugh. I guess I could do that in the morning.
I guess I could go to sleep now.
J. is picking my van up in the morning to get the oil changed etc. so that guarantees I will get up and get going. Ugh. And the boys are going elsewhere for the next two days. Did I say boys? I meant Gorillas. I live with a couple of baby gorillas. I spent most of the day today redirecting them to their groundedness for taking off on their bikes in the rain without permission. It isn't that they can't go places on their bikes. It's that without permission, in the rain, it just isn't cool to do so. Ugh.
Good night, Gorilla.
