When the heck am I going to sew? I should sew now. Or silkscreen that bird. Maybe that's what I'll do tonight. Today I painted and I think it turned out beautifully. I had to turn my key in so they could make a copy for somebody to share my studio space. So eventually I'll get my key back and go in and paint some more and take some pictures of the work I did today.
Last night we went to a concert, it was weird. We got there and became all agitated because nowhere on any of the material did it say, oh yeah, you'll need a couple of lawn chairs. But yes. If you visit Stir Cove in Co. Bluffs at Harrah's, get there early, and bring a few chairs. Or a blanket. I was happy to sit in the grass, at first I figured there was not going to be room, because it was a sold out show, so I was worried we'd have to just stand in the entryway out by the gate. Ray has been the soundtrack for most of my relationship with J. I strongly believe J. was singlehandedly responsible for bringing them back out on stage, wow is that man ever loud. J. can whistle and he has some powerful lungs. People were turning around and looking at him, but that was okay, because he got other people to start clapping and hooting and hollering too. Sure enough Ray and the bass player came back out on stage and played Jolene. He sounds exactly perfect live. The bass player looks like she's having a religious experience the entire time she plays.
I told some people where I was going and even though we were on the phone I know I got that blank look. Like, you don't know. I have a hugely hard time believing nobody knows who Ray Lamontagne is!! Yes he is amazing.
Okay so here are some educational materials for all you. Yes there will be a test later. Oh how I love Ray.

I didn't know who Ray Lamontagne was but I love his raspy voice. Thanks for the education.
Okay. You totally jerked me around there...I was expecting Jolene, Jolene, JOLENE, JO-LEEEEE-EEEEN! I'm begging you now please don't take my man.
I was wondering how that wasn't going to look weird coming out of this beard-faced raspy-voiced fellow.
Hee hee, not the same Jolene! Although, Jack White did a fine job with the version you're thinking!
