Miscellaneous Good Stuff

We went to a wine tasting. The local grocery store has a likker sto. Oh they have lots of wine there too. And we ended up bringing home a nice wine, which is actually featured in this month's Martha Stewart Living, it's the Boones Farm... uh no wait, it's 2007 Folie a Deux Menage A Trois Rose'

My friends were there. We mentioned to the store manager that we never even heard the raffle announcements because so many people were there, so he said we could take a fruit & veggie centerpiece. There was also a penguin and a monkey. My friend grabbed a great big bird made of a pineapple to bring to her kids. The eyes were initially made with half a grape and the radish circles... but somebody ate the grapes. So we stuck fruit snacks on there. It's still in the fridge, and I got grief all weekend, they wanted to eat it! I don't think a mutilated honeydew would be healthy, but I think I should buy them some melons to eat soon!

We are thinking about going to Argentina next year to visit boutique wineries. This guy J. knows is starting a group tour expedition. I'm so excited!

A video of Kiddy doing a trick with a popscicle stick. The iron in the background is used to finish the crochet toys.

In other news:

I bought metal yarn needles so I embroidered a face on that rabbit. But now I can't ind the bunny so I will post the face later.

I want to call the police about my neighbor's yapping dog. It isn't even a yapping, it sounds like someone's pinching it. I can make the noise with my voice, it is very high pitched, it is nothing like a dog bark. It's like a screeching piercing squeek but really loud and I always notice it more this late at night. Verra verra annoying.

This is the top of the head of the commissioned octopus. With the kiddy's leg to give an idea of the scale. Of course, it is not giving a very good idea of the scope. But still. She is a medium sized cat. It's going to be neat, I have good ideas for the eyes.

Also I have been given a gift the scope of which can only be measured in terms of comfort and joy. Nothing tangible will ever come of it. It will only serve to forever ease my mind, and I am sooooooo grateful.

AND tomorrow - I'm making face paint.
