On Friday he asked me to pick up some flowers for his mom's Memorial Day cemetery floral arrangement. So I did it on Saturday while he was at work. And I didn't take a picture. I went to Wal Mart to look for one but somehow their many choices of red blue or bruised purple mystery floral attempts just didn't say "we miss you dead family member!" to me. But other people were buying them. We ended up with hydrangeas daisies and some sort of small yellowish flower and ferns... and I think it looked pretty.
For the longest time we've been thinking about spicy mustard. Every time we eat Vietnamese or even just egg rolls, we ask for spicy mustard, and they bring us a little yellow package of plain ol yellow Panda mustard. Which isn't spicy really. So at the grocery store last night we were on a mission to find wasabi and also spicy yellow mustard. He picked out a tin of dry "Oriental spicy mustard" which is mixed in a ratio of 2 tsp mustard to 3 tsp cold water. OMG the stuff was delicious.

That night after I made it I had a weird dream though, which involved him getting married to a friend of mine. Would never happen in a million years, which must be why it took me a very long time in the dream to figure out what was going on. I was standing with my friend at the bus stop (?) arranging the flowers for her wedding to my boyfriend (?) when suddenly I realized what was going on, envisioned what I should say, and ran off to look for him. But didn't find him.
Luckily I woke up. Then he called and said he was coming over. And I acted very strange I guess because all morning he kept asking me what was wrong. I couldn't bring myself to tell him I dreamed he was marrying a friend of mine and I was arranging the flowers for his wedding. I wonder what that dream means???
He liked the flowers though & thought his mom would like it. Then he made fried egg sausage cheese jalepeno burritos for breakfast.
We watched the Indianapolis 500 which was neat. I had never watched it before. It took a long time, then there was another car thing which took like, two days, I can't imagine. It started Sunday and continued into Monday. It is probably still on I just haven't turned on the tv today.
We ran out to the cemetery and deposited the flowers, and then we went out to where his dad is buried. So my next project is flowers for out at his dad's. And then we did some other running around, came back and mixed up mustard.

Our plan is, from now on when we go out we will just bring our own little tub of the stuff and dip our egg rolls in it and mix it in our noodle soups. Yum. Because the Sushi Bamboo place did the absolute best job frying chicken egg rolls the other night, but we didn't have spicy mustard. I'm telling you, it's good mustard. I was eating it on crackers last night. Why do we love wasabi and mustard?
Tomorrow the little boys have their awards day at school. Thurs. is the last day for the kids, and also the day I register for Fall semester classes. Hopefully I will only need two semesters, because I don't know how I'm going to handle this. Timmy has been less than supportive of my going back to school to get my teaching certificate, even though he spent much of his adult life in college and getting two masters degrees (one of them is education, which he doesn't even use, why can't that just transfer to me??? LOL) so hopefully he will snap out of it. He seems to think I'm just taking an extended vacation. Maybe he doesn't realize I have to do two job applications a week to qualify for unemployment. Maybe he doesn't know that because I'm not sure what the regulations were when he spent months on unemployment while I worked & supported the family? The couch cushion I'm sitting on right now is still prematurely flattened from that time, he'd be there when I left for work and there when I got back. Ah the irony.

But I am so excited they're going to be out of school finally! We are going to have so much fun! I need to think of some fun stuff to do!!! Yikes!

Ewwwwwwwwwwww, I hated school....
Oh and hot mustard? Sounds like what you made is on the too extremem list for me. It sounds more HOT than spicy?
Garret
if you like wasabi you'll like this mustard... it does go up in your sinuses but it's nothing like hot salsa, it doesn't stick around like hot peppers at all- hot peppers burn my tongue for fifteen minutes, this only lasts a few seconds and then you want more!!
