The little boys invaded my kitchen repeatedly today, four of them, or they'd come in and slump down on the couch to play a few Wii games. Or beg to watch TV which, since really there is nothing on to watch I had to say no, it's a nice day, have some water and go back outside. So in the kitchen they had breakfast this morning with very few casualties and I swept up after them. They came in later and wanted juice which I made with the idea they could have a little cup of juice and I'd use the rest for smoothies later tonight. But they kept drinking the juice all day and now there's a tiny cup left for a smoothie. Then they had some jerky and those rotini style Frito's Honey Bar-B-Que chips... the twirly kind, they of course spilled some. Stepped on several. And one of the boys elbowed over his little cup of water. Water on the floor, even with the rule of no shoes in the house, at least two of them were still wearing shoes and that turned into muddy water and I had to mop. The final thing was which ever boy was in the kitchen pawing cheerios out of a tiny snack baggie spilled most of them on the floor and we ended up sweeping again. Did I say we? I think I meant I ended up sweeping. I made someone pick up most of them which worked great until he got the little dust buster thing we use to clean up around the kitty box. And used it to pick up the cheerios on the kitchen table. Not cool! I feel like I spent a large part of the day hyperventilating.
