Yesterday my friend and I went to the Wal Mart in a neighboring town because it is way nicer than the two in this town. We bought all this healthy food and then I was getting a horrible low blood sugar feeling so we decided to go out to eat. We picked up my oldest and went to Applebees. And proceeded to have pasta with white sauce. I did not eat my whole serving of pasta, but I did have some chips and salsa and that deadly spinach artichoke cheese dip.
I have decided to think about eating as being on a budget. I am experimenting with how much food I can possibly eat for the least amount of points. I learned today that one serving of Newman's Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger salad dressing is enough for two salads, but only costs 1 for the whole serving. When I divide the serving into two, each half is free. I wonder if that is fair. The reason I love this salad dressing is because it's so spicy and leaves my mouth with a feeling that I ate something wonderful. I have large-ish cereal bowls and filled one with some mixed baby herb greens and one tablespoon was more than enough dressing, so I can have another identical salad at dinner tonight if we are here. Also sugar snap peas are free, as are oranges, and the salad greens itself. Cheese sticks are 1 if you get the low fat kind. The chocolate little mini wheats are 5 but they are delicious. The non-sweetened Silk Almond milk is 1 for a whole cup. I packed a to-go bag of snap peas, an orange and a cheese stick which I already budgeted in, so if I get into trouble later ending up at J's with no food I should be okay even if we end up eating out.

WOW! You didn't gain a pound??! That's pretty darn good!!
Gees, I'm struggling with weight these days. Every teeny calorie is just sticking to my middle. Ugh. I love menopause. :(
