I'm always at school. Or another school, or a still different school. On Tuesdays I visit two schools. I love the first graders. I was talking to their teacher about something she mentioned, how sometimes they just talk talk talk so much, and we decided one of the lessons I'm required to teach for practicum should be about listening. The professor I'm doing the practicum for mentioned our city school district has curriculum for listening, and I should ask about that. I am trying to find it on the website first. Today during class she mentioned with the reading endorsement, we are qualified to teach Title I reading, which made me very happy. I'm trying to think of ways I can make reading more interesting to students who don't believe in themselves, through using art.
I'm so excited about Iowa Core Curriculum, too. I love the 21st Century Skills. We learned about it this summer during Reading in the Content Areas, and now we are covering it again in Secondary Methods.
For unknown reasons, pictures are not loading.
Here are some things I did over the weekend. 12 little canvases, the work is still in progress. I still need to find my ModPodge and do the photo transfers of the typography. I can't for the life of me remember where I put the ModPodge. I have two giant bottles of it, and I've looked ev-er-y-where.
