my social life is officially non-existent because I live by the phone now since my sweetheart will be on an extended business trip
the dweebies downstairs are blaring country music from their kickin' system
the boys have spent the day outside
I have gotten absolutely no studying done but my bathroom is clean and the dishes are done and the towels are all folded and I super-folded all the washcloths today while I was on the phone with my dad... like all the stacks match and the folds are all turned to the same side... All I need to do a super job cleaning is a phone call. I can clean so very well but it is so uninteresting. So to really do a great job I need distraction for my brain.
I did make two fabric & stitched barrettes and a crochet button flower hair pin thingy for my oldest's girlfriend's birthday, which I really really enjoyed making. I like glue, I hope the barrettes stay together, I did sew them too.
This makes me smile:
My microwave is beeping in the background because I nuked some Gardenburgers someboy left out on the table while he was rummaging 'round the freezer for red popscicles.
I have a headache.
My cat is nice. But things she does don't always make sense. In what universe is the basket of mailing labels more comfy than the satiny snuggly kitty bed?
Seriously? Country music? Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey, whiskey makes my baby a little bit frisky?
I watched a bunch of youtube videos this afternoon on how to do that pouf on top of my head with my ponytail. Turns out significant teasing is involved. I think it is hilarious all these little girls make videos of how to do your hair, and they have lovely hair, sure, but they're standing there in their bathroom with crappy mismatched towels hanging all over the place, and the linen closet door is wide open. Or sitting on their big-screen in their bedroom is this big teddybear with a red heart in his hands. Hello? Style your entire life. And then when it's time to make a video, clean up a little!
The other day we finished up J's mom's house and I brought home some plasticy vintagey costumey jewelery
and wore this necklace to my first day of practicum:
I see my eyebrows have once again lost control. My forehead is also quite large. I'm okay with that.

Oh, your eyes stand out when you wear green! So lovely!!
Cats are weird--they always go where you don't want them. It's all about control.
