something wonderful is going to happen

one extra life

It is a truly beautiful Saturday, brilliant light and soft of breeze, slightly cold and warm enough. I was struck this morning by the thought that I need another life to accomplish everything I want to accomplish. I am studying. I am designing a comic strip thing for a tee-shirt based on Mr. C.'s drawings. I am thinking about my 30 canvas project. I am procrastinating reading about 700 chapters in five different text books. My problem with reading is, there are more active things, which are still classwork or required things for attaining student teacher status, that I could be doing. So I do those things first. It still counts as getting things done. But I still have guilt for not reading. The reader doesn't read. Why do I get so distracted from my textbooks? If I read, how am I going to get everything else done? I think there are just so many things to do. I need to go grab my timer, don't I? 15 nice minutes of reading, and I can do the next thing, then go back to reading 15 min. How long does it take to read anyway?

My practicum has been a blessing. In three or four days I learned enough about Photoshop to successfully make appropriate editing choices in Gimp. Or just enough to be dangerous.

I would love to believe "something wonderful is going to happen" What a great way to live you life. Perhaps you will not get a second one but I bet you make the most of the one you have been given.

Is it one of those 12 step program cliches? At some point you just have to "fake it till you make it" right? I actually think that other than being behind in my reading for psychology and the two books for one of the education classes, I'm actually caught up. Maybe I can get reincarnated as the exact same person.

I can be full of cliches but mostly I am full of typos. It is like a sickness.

Anyway: ahem...

whether you want to play along or not, I awarded you the versatile blogger award. You can read about over at my place.
