school carnival

Our school carnival is the event of the year.  Games and cakewalk are free. Face painting is free. It's the best. We also have a talent show and the D.J. stays for the rest of the carnival. Everything is free except the food.
Which reminds me I need to go get some cash so the little dudes have plenty of quarters for ice cream. Last year I was in charge of face painting but I guess this year the clowns are doing that.  I am not one to interfere with clowns.
Yesterday we sorted prizes, organized the beverage situation, ate wasabi almonds.
And I made posters! Gigantic bomb pop & ice cream pop poster, 50 cents each...I didn't use the words, I just drew the pops. The Schwan's man is just leaving his truck so we can sell the popscicles out of his truck, which I think might be my job. I did a cotton candy 50 cents poster, and  used the almond and nut cans to draw the cotton candy in big loopy circles. I am so excited about these posters, people! They are so awesome I want to get them laminated to use next year. I guess next year I'm on the committee. Well I was told I am. So I guess I am. Usually I'm just doing what I'm told to do.

So in addition to posters yesterday I spray painted rocks gold and drew a map of California for our "Gold Rush California" game. We sat in my friend's front yard and picked nuggets out of her front landscaping and spray painted them metallic gold. I love spray paint. I laugh a lot when I'm spray painting.

I charged my camera battery today so hopefully I will remember to take lots of pictures. There is zero interesting yard art around the school. The other school has a gnome right across the street.

This morning I walked at the mall for an hour with my friends. They walked way more than I did, I guess. But I think an hour is fine for me. I walk slightly faster than they do...they walk longer but at a more leisurely pace. They talk about the miles they are walking but I'm not for sure how they can walk as far as they're saying they walk in the time frame, as slow as they are walking. For some reason that is better according to them. I asked if we could walk at the college track. I would much rather walk out-doors. Plus I know four laps around a track is one mile. Easy math. They sort of think it is better to walk in the AC. I'm not sure that matters to me.

Yesterday and day before yesterday were strange food days for me. Sunday was just freakish. I know why I ate when I was eating what I ate, but I'm not sure why I can't make myself stop. I think, you really should stop. Then something inside is like, no really, I don't care right now. It's that inner wild thing that doesn't want me to starve to death. I can feel myself starting to stress. I know what is going on. But I just say "whatever" and put things in my mouth that have no business in there. Swiss Cake Rolls! I know! And not even the Little Debbie ones. Great Value ones. $1 a box. That should tell us something right there. Anything that is 10/$1 is not a good product we want to put in our bodies.

So I'm hoping if I do really well today, and Wednesday, and walk both days, I will have lost 2 lbs by my weigh-in.

Mall Walking Statistics
one lap is .62 miles
I think we're walking about a 24 minute mile.
It's not a round number so I get all confused. Those numbers with the corners get me every time.
They say I walked about 3 miles today but it didn't seem like it. I was there from 9:15-10:30 I think. Well it is 12:15 now and I set my chrono when I got there. 3:02 hours ago. I hate counting things backwards. I think I'll just go get a shower and get ready for this carnival extravaganza.
