J's sister liked the bag. So I will now make one for each sister. Gotta be fair... plus it is their mom's curtain fabric. My own sisters will have to be satisfied with other bag prototypes. Geesh. Where can I find a ton of free fabric in interesting colors and patterns? The weirder the better maybe. All I can think of is, maybe going to Goodwill and picking out cheap skirts and using them for yardage?
Yesterday I painted more garage parts. Yesterday I painted a garage door and the framey part that goes right around the glass. Then I tinted all the garage windows belonging to J. which amounted to five panes of glass. 3 panels in one window, which installs in the back garage, and 2 panes in the garage attached to the house. I am very seriously good at applying window tint. If I had a razor blade and a newer squeegee I would have done a better job. Oh and probably if the glass hadn't been ancient and specked with paint, that would have been good too. I mean, I scraped the glass. It just didn't all come off. Anyway I did my best with the materials at hand.
After painting and tinting we went to get sushi. He said he was thinking about taking me to a movie but since he doesn't know what's out there (a.k.a. there are no war movies out right now) he figured sushi sounded like another good option. Golly gosh I love that man.
My delightful son 'graduated' from 8th grade today. I put graduated in apostrophes... because I hate the over-use of quotes these days, but really does it count as a graduation if you're just getting out of 8th grade? Or 5th? Or Kindergarten? I'm just not sure. I mean, I guess we should support and encourage and woo woo all we can to keep kids in school. But. Geesh. You're supposed to do this. This isn't like optional. Yes, graduating high school is awesome and more people should do it. Graduating college is sort of a big deal too. But. Um. I don't think I ever got a party for waking up and being a mom. I never got a party for getting up and going to my job every day when I still had one. I didn't get a party the times I was promoted to manager or assistant manager. I have pictures from 8th grade graduation. I stayed the whole time. I took pictures till my battery died.
Also I went up to the high school and saw the high school 3-D art teacher. I like that guy. I picked up the pottery box I made (hand built, not wheel thrown) and chatted with him a while. I need a teacher's edition text book for art but he says "they" don't send those out anymore, because it's too expensive. Plus, the art teachers don't use a text book. He gave me the e-mail for the head art teacher above all others for our school district. Awesome. I need to e-mail him and go talk to him anyway so he can be impressed with how outstanding my communication skills are. (They really are. Maybe not here. I mean, yes, I did just put all these paragraphs in order so it reads in chronographical order instead of the way I was thinking while I typed.)
Oh also, after 8th grade graduation today I took my $2 Target web coupons and my $4 manufacturer's coupons and bought a $10 automatic motion detector Air Wick air freshener that was on sale for $5.99 which, after applying the coupons, was free. I actually got two. The little one was $7.99 and I only had a $3 and $2 for that one. The big one was free. So for all that I spent $2.sixtysomething? I'm not sure how that worked. But I did not get sucked into Target and buy anything else. I mean, well I did get sucked into target, I almost called for help! But I found nothing I really needed so I left with my somewhat free air-fresheners.
So I got home and hung the automatic air freshener up in the bathroom, just like in a public restroom. Did I mention it is motion detecting?
A few minutes ago I decided to put the wash in the dryer.
I went into the bathroom to grab the wet clothes, it saw me coming and went "groan-squeak-puff!" above my head and just about scared the buhjeebus outta me. I seriously ducked and dropped the F-bomb. In a whisper. So I wouldn't wake up the boys.

laughing...
But tell us more about window tinting... is this for shade or decoration? Do you use colors or do you blacken the windows like a gangsta car? So many unanswered questions.
