I got a text the other day from J. that said "Nobody ever pays me in gum!"

We love commercials. And ads. Like the time we saw the car insurance company ad where the lady described what she did, the doorbell rang, she put on her tangerine lip gloss, and answered the door.
So we were instantly on the hunt for the perfect tangerine lip gloss.
Somewhat related to the week/weekend I had.
This is the first evening in a long time my house has been quiet. But that's good. Because.
I seem to be afflicted with gas of the "Aw mah Gawd, Girl, what crawled up your ass and died?" variety. Oh and I got hiccups earlier today. Oh,ups, hiccups are back.
Tonight I made a terrarium. It is lovely but still smaller than I'd like. I need some white space in there. But it's a start. Maybe eventually I'll post more pictures! I took some pictures. So you can see my shiny sink.
I made my mom about five pairs of earrings today. I didn't get pictures. Sorry. Yeah I know you're heartbroken.
Box Almaden Merlot goes great with Mac N Cheese. Just so you know.
It is not bad to eat. I made some really great food this weekend. I should put links up to the recipes. Martha's "Grocery Bag"
I'm watching Kimora Life in the Fab Lane. Except that went off and I changed it over to Cake Boss, which didn't have enough Cake. And now I'm watching Bethenny Frankel? Whoever that is? Who is entirely skinny and just gave birth? Geesh Slingbox is opening up a whole new world.
My friend had this up on Facebook:
I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. - Goethe
I think this is brilliant. It was very eerie to read that a second ago because this day I have had, this wonderful calm day, I've done some thinking and came up with the same thing. I was thinking this today... like, if I'm graceful and grateful and serene and benevolent, my children purr along like life is wonderful. If I let anything get to me, they tense up, have tantrums, act like zpazzes and everything goes down hill.
The description for Good Eats tonight: Waffles.
That was all. Alton Brown is a food god.
My brain is so comfy tonight, such a nice place to be.
Will there be a new set of Baby Boomers to coincide with this war?
Do our children absorb the stress we emit from our pores as we will our loved ones home safe?

boxed wine goes well with anything
; )
perhaps wine and macncheese gave you the gassola?
where did you get the random dog.
my shirt looks nice on mom.
Nope. Gas experienced previous to consumption of mac & vino.
Random dog belongs to neighborly basement dwellers.
Did you give her that shirt? I did notice it looked nice.
