Ahem.
So the young gentlemen are back. There is still a tad little problem I have with their father, but hopefully he um, gets a clue. Honestly. Or, geesh. It isn't even a full moon or anything, is it? WTF?
The young ones got home today and spent the rest of their day playing & swimming and sidewalk challking with neighbor kids. The youngest and I spent a while this evening watching guinea pigs on youtube after dinner. Maybe I should get a guinea pig or would that drive the kitty crazy? My middle child had a huge angry tantrum when I put him to bed. Imagine that. My oldest is okay and slightly mopey because he is grounded for various things. I soooo wish I had a vat of Cookie Dough Blizzard. That I could just sit in. And eat.
I'm trying to read Chapter 12 of Content Area Literacy, which is a graduate level class towards my reading endorsement. I'm very very excited about this. For one thing it's my very first online-hybrid class. For another thing, it's fun to imagine helping people learn to love reading as much as I do.
Look I made magazine holders:
I was gonna cover them with some drawing paper the kids had drawn all over. I mean, I did. But I didn't use that particular piece in the picture, because it looks so much like a Miro I think I'd rather frame it.
Group of excited little pyromaniacs.
The loot.
Johnnie the big kid.
It's top secret!
We were very lucky to be invited out to the lake in South Dakota, where fireworks are still so freakin' legal!
