My college friend (college the first time, versus college this time) had a wellness blog entry. I love the idea of wellness instead of "diet". Um. I'm very interested in losing weight and becoming more healthy. Weight loss eludes me. Part of me tends to blame this on inadequate thyroid function, plus what I believe to be a slightly less than necessary dose of thyroid meds. So half of me doesn't really believe I can lose weight. 40 lbs would be awesome. 50 even better. I have no idea how to organize a workout.
So I've been slightly somewhat following the Martha Stewart Detox plan in order to re-set my "relationship with food". I need to think about that more. I need to think about my relationship with food.
I also need to write my syllabus for my advanced studies painting class. I think it will be fun. My blockage to production has been a desire to do wonderful amazing artwork with a social conscience... that actually makes a difference. My professor talked to me about that, and says it's possible it won't be work anyone else "gets" - I was afraid of that! So I need to go get some wood and make some canvases!

Darlin' the best wellness book I have ever read about losing weight is the 4-Day Win by Martha Beck. It has healed my relationship with food and even a bit with myself. xo, pam
checking it out at the library this weekend!
Thanks!
