hooray for vacations

We went to Arkansas and it was great. The Ozark Folk Center restaurant "The Skillet" has amazing fried green tomatoes. Here's a picture of me and my nieces feeding a goat. I was looking for my own kids but they were off somewhere else. I made it black and white and did some kind of filter on it. Whee. I don't look as blobby as I do in color.

My sister bought these chickens and I'm pretty excited:

I've always wanted chickens so this is like vicarious chicken ownership.

In other news this weekend my cousin climbed Mt. Hood where it has snowed lately.
