Weekend Update

So far this morning I heard myself say "For the second time! I do not want the toothbrushes in the laundry hamper!" Who says that? Only parents say that. Seriously I have said that twice, I am wondering if they are somehow just falling in there. This is actually two packages of toothbrushes because nobody can remember which toothbrush is theirs from week to week. Oh I don't know. That was what they told me, so I went and bought all new ones in all different colors and then I said "And get a sharpie and write your name on them!"

I got a really nice present today, I'm pretty happy with it! II like the flowers too. Mr. C. made the rounds of the neighborhood trees and got me some crab apple, lilic, and a crocus (he won't tell me where the crocus came from, I don't think it's nice to take someone's crocus but he promises it was down on the part of the grass between the street and the sidewalk.)

Mr. C. waltzed into the living room earlier today and announced his latest science experiment involving, get this, aluminum foil wrapped eggs in the microwave. I believe he is operating exclusively under his own sense of adventure. His exact words were, "There was STATIC ELECTRICITY! I put this [holding tiny ball of foil] in the microwave! It was SO COOL! Please don't be mad." And somehow he continued to elaborate despite my face, which still gets a really stiff puckery O shape in the mouth area just imagining what occurred. I would have screeched. I usually freak out about stupid stuff. Really important stuff, I don't even flinch.

Yesterday we walked around the neighborhood and suddenly I looked up and there was this amazing tree I'd never noticed before. So I took pictures of the brothers trying to reach the flowers.
