SomeDude and I are watching The Big Lebowski for like the 300th time. Do you see what happens Larry? This is what happens Larry! This is what happens Larry!

Over the weekend we did this:
He didn't really use that big brush. If you are friends with me on FB you can see the whole progression.
He did a great job. I told him which paint to use.
Except I didn't have the instructions. Why would I have the instructions? They're probably at his dad's. For the past two kids, the dad has done the same project with them. The Floyd Monument. Which is identical to the Washington Monument, except not. Logan called me from the neighbor's and they were doing the same project, so I had him read me the measurements. Ooh. Oops. To my credit, in the past, they've always been a rather large project. We have a new public museum now so maybe they have size constraints. Which makes no sense because the new museum is larger.
So I had to tear it apart. When I put the initial set together he did his share of the work, but ripping it apart involved some cutting and I did it myself, since it's probably my fault I didn't ask
Here we have it all back together. This is today. Those other pictures were from yesterday. He's putting a minute shred of paperclip wire into a teensy bit of foam which has been dipped in glue and parsley.
Like so.
This was his plan for the project. We had a postcard of the original pool. He also had a list of three items we needed to shop for in order to do this. Such a good little planner.
Glued on the sand. Letting it dry. Later I shook off the excess sand and there we were. I have picture of that I hope. It's sitting in the kitchen waiting to go to school tomorrow. I really got a lot of stuff done. We got J's essay turned in. I shopped online & bought kung fu shoes for SomeDude. I exercised all weekend and ate healthy foods. I chronicled the production of the history project. I logged every single food that passed my lips. Except maybe some of the Cadbury Mini Eggs. Um. Wheee. Oh and I've been wearing one of these things:
Armband sorta like they wear on Biggest Loser. Mostly to figure out my thyroid weight gain.

And I really like it!
