But I think I'm done.
Finally.
So far I have spent $150 on patio furniture, and I think I spent $70 on sheers for the bedroom, except I think I'm going to bring back the horrible scarf things because they're too light and just aren't doing anything for me. So they were like $15 each, so that's $30 I'll get back. Hopefully I can fold the one I took out back into a reasonable interpretation of how it looked in the package... I will use that refund to buy more clip rings for the sheers in the bedroom. I also bought some shelf liner and a bunch of organizer box thingies for inside the drawers. I am also on the lookout for kid-friendly microwaveable bowls and plates. I'm afraid I might be stuck with Corelle. I have never bought Corelle and I think it all looks horrible. But it isn't heavy, it can be microwaved, supposedly it won't break if you drop it (sure, whatever) and it isn't plastic, which means it isn't going to leach cancer causing poisons into the boys' foods if they microwave it. And it is light. Did I mention it is light? It is lighter than my black Pfaltzgraff bowls. Easier to put in the dishwasher. I think I'm talking myself into it.
I was upset with the horrible selection of patio furniture locally. Finally I went online because I could not hike through one more store, what did people ever do before the InterWeb?
I quickly realized A. I do not like most patio furniture and B. It all looks so klunky and modern. C. It is all too heavy and large to transport in my vehicle, D. Other stuff was only available online.
These at least looked like something my grandmother would purchase, and then the store had some other stuff on sale, so I got cushions which I actually like. I am hoping to find either a set of two solid color cushions that match, or maybe some kind of paisley would be fun. I am just not sure.
So I realized when I saw these on the Menards InterWeb Site, that's the store just after the one I finally got tired at. First I went to a consignment, then a garden store which actually had good prices, then KMart, which had nothing, and then I was really tired and just got some food and went home to shop online. Menards is next door to KMart. I bet I wouldn't have gotten these chairs if I had walked into Menards all tired and hungry.
I got a yellow side table too, which I plan to spray paint that green color, which happens to match the color of the walnuts the squirrels throw down at the dog when we go out in the yard. One of them actually hit her yesterday while we were out in the yard. I made the kids pick up walnuts because they (the kids, not the squirrels) were so sassy this week. What a riot. First they had to pick up poop, then I made them go through and pick up all the walnuts off the ground.

Having a new house is fun, you have to admit! We've been in ours a year noe and I'm still organizing. Pretty sure my favorite room is the living room, which sadly, I spend the least amount of time in. You've inspired me to finish taking pictures of mine. Guess I'll be cleaning today.
I don't like Corelle except in the motorhome because it's light weight. AND it can shatter and when it does it's a glass sliver party all over. Google it.
hmmm, so what do I get for boys who like to throw stuff in the microwave?
I like dishes from Crate and Barrel. They are relatively inexpensive, but they are durable. I got the white square plates and they have taken a beating quite well.
That sad, I always taught my kids to be good to the dishware. I mean, there is no reason for them not to. I'm not kidding when I say that my kids have never broken a dish...ever. The good thing is that you can buy one dish at a time from C & B if you break it. LOVE that stuff!
ooh Crate & Barrel sounds fancy! We do have a Pier One in town, I know they have dishware there, I guess I need to put that on my list of fun stuff.
