something wonderful is going to happen

Dear St. Anthony:
Where the heck did I put the cord to the camera? I want to transfer the pictures.
Okay well imagine this:
Here is a photo of all the beautiful (not) walk in closet, but check out that space WITH a wire organizing closet shelf and hanger thingy installed in there already, plus a bizarre little white cabinety thing which J. and I can not decide what goes in it so I think we're taking that thing out. Sort of a tiny closet within a closet. Also there's a rarely seen wedding dress J. won't let me donate somewhere because my mom made it. I really am looking forward to caulking and smoothing and painting the inside of that closet! I have my work cut out for me with this house.
Notice the gorgeous wood all over the place. Notice the crystal antiquey doorknob on my closet door! Notice the horrible pull-down shades on the bedroom windows & the horrible yet strangely familiar fan lighting fixture. Notice my lovely cat lounging around. The people took their cat and J. brought my cat over to the house yesterday. She seems comfortable.
Here we have a photo of the refrigerator. You can't see it, however take my word for it, this fridge is basically on the back porch. It's a tiny part of the house, large enough for the appliance door to swing open, and not much else. The back door and the fridge door are there dueling, dukeing it out for dominance. I'm thinking I can open the door wide enough to slide the groceries and myself thru, then close the door, open the fridge, put away the groceries.
Okay here is where I want to put the fridge. We can re-plumb the ice-maker pipe to the opposite wall of where it is now, then I can make a beautiful useful mud-room space where the fridge is currently. My friend wants me to leave the fridge and use the other space for a little breakfast nook. You know what? I am fine with using the dining room for all eating purposes, but I'm still not sure how I feel.
Here are the kitchen cabinets I spent all evening washing and putting in shelf liner. Here is my beautiful sink. When I first looked in the sink it was stained and scuffed but J. worked on it with the C.L.R. and some Comet and scrubbies and wow. You almost can't tell it isn't brand new. The drain is sparkling and the faucet has zero calcium or lime deposits, and the sink itself is no longer sporting rust stains. So amazing. He does such good work!
I measured all the drawers. I think I have 8 kitchen drawers. Two of them are like, 19 inches wide by 20 inches long and 3 inches deep. A few others are deeper and more narrow... what do I put in all this drawer space? I keep worrying I'm going to use up all the cabinet space but there is a row of cabinets along the ceiling, above the regular cabinets. I went to WalMart and purchased a set of cabinet organizing shelves, those white wire things, and then tonight I realized I think I do not need them! I am unsure of where to put the food though. I really like having a pantry closet. I don't want the food over the stove-top. I want dishes to go over the dishwasher, but I'm not sure all the dishes will fit in that cabinet. But really, how many dishes do we need? I think I will have to figure this out later because I am sooooooo sleepy.
Um, here is a picture of the amazing windows in the living room, and some of my artwork. Once again, check out that woodwork.
Here is a photo of my garage door opener.
Here is a photo of the ideas in my head for what I'd like to do with the laundry room (basement) floor.
Here is the horrid wooden toilet paper roll holder which regrettably is hanging up by your head if you're sitting on the toilet. Gross. I need to replace that with something.
Here is a hole in the tile of the bathroom... yeah we thought we could replace the disgusting "built-in" hotel-ish soap dish, and no. They did something weird in there so there's no way to really get the thing screwed in. It was attached to the wall with some caulk and grout and paper towels, don't even ask. So I need to quick learn how to do tile. I should be able to do two tiles, right? Can't be that hard.
Wow I'm sleepy. I woke up at 5 this morning, and it is now 11 PM. Eventually I will find the cord that attaches to the camera. I intentionally rolled it up and meant for it to stay with the computer but you know what? Nothing really is where I thought it was. I might find it later tomorrow. Okay good night.
