I hope Facebook never dies because every pic on the blog these days is just cross referenced from my FB uploads.
Patch and I finally made it to the living room, where we are being very still and contemplating how to finish the bedroom re-arrangement I began I think on Friday which also includes a living room overhaul because I moved a large-ish armoire thingy into the living room to give me a better space in my room. This resulted in a large amount of clothing being displaced to the living room. The thing about my room is sometimes I dump things in there because they shouldn't just be in a holding pattern in the living room.
As a result of my reorganization, I am full of inspiration. Because I'm so happy I decided to re-arrange the furniture, I am full of inspiration to do any number of other projects I've been meaning to start. Instead of finishing the bedroom/living room. I have the urge to paint or do whatever, rather than finish deciding what clothing needs to be donated, what books I want on the bookshelf which was relocated to the spot beside my bed, how to arrange for the disappearance (hiding place in the armoire thingy) the DVD collection which nobody watches because my DVD machine expired one day and I never got another one. We do have the tiny TV in the bedroom with a DVD player but still, nobody watches the DVDs since the invention of Netflix.
Firefox insists armoire is spelled wrong but when I googled the word it is a frequently used spelling of the word for what is a dresser thingy with two drawers in the bottom and a pair of doors with shelving. Hmm. I could actually paint the armoire. The wood isn't that spectacular and I've been wanting to paint something a really bright color. With all the time I'd save by not putting all my clothes away and just leaving them in hampers in the living room. Oh. Yeah, no. It's really just like 1.5 hampers of clothes. Oh, now it's okay with the word armoire in two places but not the third.
The boys and I slept really late, so when their fahzha showed up at whatever time that was (yes I knew he was coming at 8 to fetch them up, no I did not in my sleepish state remember to set an alarm and wake them up before then. Geesh.) we were not that interested in staying up (Patchy and I weren't, that is. The boys also complained.) (Because we were up around midnight doing this:

This doesn't show the other boy on the lawn tractor, either, because he's at the other end of the garage in front of that truck in the background. I personally was taking this photo from inside the van, which was parked just outside the garage. I think it turned out cool.)
Last night we went to our friends' house. We flew kites there too, before the storm, which made us wish for Ben Franklin.
Night before that we went to another home of friends' resulting in an incredibly fun weekend of back to back cook-outs. This was fairly awesome. As you can tell in the photo above, Patch is resting now because she used the opportunity of a gigantic set of backyards plus a grassy alley to run like a maniac pint size greyhound non-stop in gigantic loops all around the yard, thru the garage, around the front yard, down the side, and back to looping around the back, to the great amusement of all. Then several small boys began chasing her even though I was certain if they "caught" her, it would involve them falling on top and squashing her. It was hilarious and I am so grateful for a dog who will come running to me at full speed if I just make that kissy clucking noise. Because if she decided to run away, she proved on Saturday that nobody could ever catch her.
Wow this is practically life size Patchy. I just love her ears. It isn't even that cold in here and she's curled up in a ball. Her bulgy eyes look like chameleon eyes. Also her tail is slightly crooked. She's so perfect. What was I talking about? Oh. How I need to finish my room and living room because otherwise I'd be:
or painting my nails. I'm sure around five tonight I'll be in the mood to organize and fold the towels. Really, does it matter what order I do things? Nobody's home but me today. I have some good intentions. Lets see how far down the road to hell I can get with that.

I love that Patchy is exhausted! poor thing. Sounds like a fun, but rough weekend for her. :)
