tomato corn artwork wine

I think soon this week I begin harvesting corn and tomatoes and probably it will be good for me. But I don't think I'm going to make many crochet animal stuff as I did. The weeks in Louisiana were good. And I left the computer at home. There may also be an art related job on the horizon, though, which would be very exciting.

The 3rd was fun, J. & I went to a party at my friends' home and tasted the most amazing, Amon-Ra wine from Australia. Very very beautiful color, flavor, everything. I neglected to read what year it was. Also yummy was Pillar Box Red, and I missed the bottle of Red Zeppelin but heard all about it. I guess they know the wine maker. John brought the bottle Rombauer chardonnay from on top of my refrigerator, (which we drank ourselves. We could have shared but my friends love reds the most.)

The 4th was fun, I went to W's since she lives near the park and we walked over for the Counting Crows appearance. The weekend was meant to be an adults weekend but it ended up that several of her younger relatives, their friends, and an adorable 2 year old also attended. Before that concert I made the potato salad (tasty) and chopped up a bunch of fruit for the fruit salad (yummy yummy) and marinated and grilled some chicken thighs and some bratwurst of every flavor. Blueberry, apple, pineapple, cajun, cheddar, and Reuben flavored brats from some meat shop in Omaha. The blueberry was interesting, the apple smelled the best, the Reuben tasted like a corned beef snausage, I didn't get a chunk of the other ones. But it was fun. It was like a brat tasting.

Counting Crows sounded amazing, exactly like listening to their cds. They played a huge amount of music. In the middle of one song Adam Duritz stopped everything and lectured some young people fighting in front of the stage, about how important it was to not fight with that many people around. I think he would be enjoyable to meet, he's expressive and childlike to watch onstage, and he seems quite free.

I just don't know. I think I'll put this on facebook too. Is that cheating, facebooking a blog entry? If you need to facebook me, I think you can type in "wainwrightlauren" in the searchy thingy?
