So, my baby turned 7 today. Mr. C. the second grader,
the boy who has yet to loose a tooth.
He was born seven years ago,
and I looked at him and he looked at me,
and I decided it was going to be interesting
getting to know that one. 
Mr. Cheez eats some cheese.
As you can see he is quite the character. And he was in his absolute top form today!

I was thinking I'd make a box cake.
But J. said last night, as we stood at 10-ish PM in WalMart,
"Let me handle the cake," so I did. He's got people.
He called his cake lady this morning and boy did he ever order a cake!
I'm going to have to freeze the leftovers.
So the little boys were singing
his praise this evening, believe me.
"You're the best mom in the world
because you have the worlds best boyfriend!"
(etc. ... it got a little nauseating
so I won't continue!)

the first three tries were just
blank space and I had a foolish
look on my face watching him disappear
out the corner of my eye.

Yep, the lady at the Sugar Shack Bakery started this small business about 5-7 years ago and she also does the. most. amazing. gigantic-decorated cookie-on-a-stick arrangements... sort of like a bouquet of cookies. This is that same place he got my last birthday cake, I would get a wedding cake done from there for sure.
maybe it's just something about turning 7 but yesterday i got a lovely picture of Sam pretending to take a HUGE bite out of his cake... I didn't even remember this one until just now. They're so cute. He's been asking for the boys to come down again. We're really going to have to work on getting up that way... I just wish we had a couple of weeks off that wouldn't be frozen up there to make it.
